Piano Recital

The boys had their spring piano recital last weekend. They all practiced for weeks, (we won't mention the threats involved) and each of them did a good job. Brandon played "Rhapsody Brilliante", Spencer played "Loco-Motive", Tyler played "Buffalo Stampede", and Justin played "Cookies".

After much pleading, we have decided to let them take a break from piano this summer. We informed them that the time they would have spent practicing will have to be spent doing yardwork. Sounds like a fair trade, don't you think?

4th Grade Diorama

Tyler is studying environments in science class. He had to make a diorama of a Utah forest. I think he did an awesome job. He's such a ham that we had to take almost a dozen shots just to get a good picture. What a kid!

Everybody Loves Rachel

We've had lots of visitors coming to see new little Rachel, and it has been awesome!

Grandma and Grandpa came down from Oregon to visit and it was so fun to see them:

Mother's Day

We spent the day up at my parent's house where little Rachel met Uncle Matt and Uncle Aaron for the first time. Did I remember to bring my camera. Yes, yes I did. Did I remember to actually take any pictures. No, I did not. I am of course running on only a few hours of sleep, so I'll blame it on that. ;)

Before we left we tried to take some pictures of me with all the kids. They didn't turn out. We took several of just the kids. And when I say several I mean lots. This was the best we got. Sheesh!
So, so very grateful that I get to be a mother to these four amazing boys and this beautiful little princess of ours. Life is good. :)

Baby Shower

Some of my good friends threw a neighborhood baby shower for us. It was such an amazing evening! Everyone is so excited about our little Rachel, and it was fun to show her off. I have so appreciated all of the love and support that everyone has shown us throughout this whole adoption journey. We live in the best place on earth!




All of our friends and family have been so generous. We are amazed and grateful at all of the wonderful gifts our princess has received. What a lucky girl!

Five Men and a Little Lady

So Very Blessed

1 Samuel 1:27 "For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him."

We feel so truly blessed to have little Rachel in our family. She has been hoped for and dreamed of for many years. Prayer after prayer we asked Heavenly Father to help us "find our baby sister." Words cannot express how happy we are to have her little spirit in our home. She has only been with us for a few days, but already the atmosphere in our home has changed for the better.

She is a miracle. Heavenly Father has answered our prayers. We feel humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude. So much gratitude. For a birth mother that made the greatest sacrifice a mother could make, and for a God who had a hand in all of it. Our cup truly runneth over.
